Okra Chips

We found ourselves with a ton of Okra last summer (thank you mom and dad) and I decided to try baking some. They turned out great so now we have them anytime we can find fresh Okra! I make Kale Chips the exact same way FYI.

Okra Chips

Super simple and yummy way to use your fresh okra!

Ingredients

Snacks
  • 4 cups of fresh okra
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Trim the tops off the okra and slice in half. Place in a bowl and sprinkle with olive oil to coat the okra. Sprinkle salt, pepper and garlic powder to your taste level and mix into the okra.
  2. Place on a cookie sheet and spread the okra out evenly. Bake until slightly crispy or to your liking. (We like them super crispy!) Cool and drain on paper towels. Store in an airtight container.
