Protein Balls
I have made several varieties of protein balls over the years and this is my favorite. I’m not even sure where the idea of these came from. I think I combined a few recipes and ended up with this one. When I give speeches, I often bring different kinds of peanut and almond butters to show everyone, so I just use whatever isn’t being used at the moment.

Anyway, these are easy and great to snack on before a workout!
Also, Beau enjoyed supervising the process. Don’t worry, she didn’t touch them and I was the only one that ate them in case you are not a cat person and concerned that she got her cat cooties on them.

Protein Balls
Super simple protein snacks before a workout.

Ingredients
- 1 cup steel cut oats
- 3/4 cup natural peanut butter or almond butter
- 1/4 cup ground flaxseed
- 2 T honey
- 1/2 T olive oil or coconut oil
- 1 t vanilla extract
- 2 T of cacao powder
Instructions
- Mix in a food processor until combined.
- Roll into balls and enjoy.
